I just have the need to register
to say you Thank You for this great editor!

I test it a few hours only but i see it has a lot of possibilities.
Nearly portable till of the key.
Working RegEx implementation with multi line support.
Column select, Templates, Auto complete, Paste as HTML, well thought out Tools-Support
and a lot of other features i see and have to discover  Wink

I hope this is under heavy development? and you are prepared to get a lot of suggestions?  Grin

Sorry for my bad english if i didn't find the right words (corrections welcome)

Stefan

Hello Stefan,

Thanks a lot ! The version 1.3x is not yet really portable. But 1.4 would be (beta already does not use windows registry, only for saving location of data files, if it is different from default).

I am always open for suggestions Wink
Small things I can still do for 1.4, but big already would come to 1.5

Your English is fine. I dont think that my is better  Grin.

Best regards,
Alex

I also want to thank Alex for its great Hippo Edit.

I use it daily to create and edit software source code for more then year already. I know about Hippo from very first beta versions. I have tried many competitors while searching for the PERFECT text editor, but last year I have completely switched to Hippo.

I think now Hippo Edit is one of the most feature packed text editors, and it's light, fast and smart :-)
Love it.

I have to add my two cents: I found this editor completely by chance on Iconico's Bits du Jour, and I now use it as my default JavaScript editor.

I am hoping that with time, HippoEdit will be able to completely replace TextPad, which I have used for many years, but that has not seen any significant updates in as long. Currently, the lack of macro recording ability and a few minor bugs (like find or quick bar arrows that remain visible afterwards, a bit distracting) will hold me back. But I have no doubt that given a bit of time, HippoEdit will become one of the most versatile programming editors around.

I would be glad to pay to upgrade next time, HippoEdit is worth much, much more than the special's $15 price. THANK YOU for creating this editor Smiley

Hello All,

Just want to rename post "Pleased user thanks" to "Testimonials" to inform posters that I would like to use your comments as testimonials on the site or other promotional sites (as Bits du Jour or Giveaway Of The Day for example).
So, if you do not like your post to be used, please do not post here Smiley And if you have already posted, and do not want your post to be used (who knows) please inform me about this.

In any case thanks a lot for a feedback and I would do my best to make HippoEDIT best of the text editors Wink

Best regards,
Alex.

Hm. Have tried to make this post first, but was not able Smiley So, hope somebody would read it Smiley

Another bit of thank you here! I already own a license for a competing product, and never thought I'd pay for another text editor, but the features and look of HippoEdit (along with a favorable discount at BitsDuJour Wink ) convinced me otherwise!

Great editor and just as great service and support. Keep it up!
