IF i have for an COMMAND
an path build with %placeholder vars% , like %ProgramFiles%\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE

THEN no icon for this command is resolved.

Even if i paste %ProgramFiles%\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE into the ICON field.

It seams to me the ICON field doesn't works with placeholders?

You mean environment variables?
Yes, this is just not taken into account. I would add it.

About placing generic template tags inside, this is not supported (in common way)...
Because of the interactive tags etc. I would check what is possible there.

- COMMAND:  X:\full\path\HippoEDIT.exe
works too

- COMMAND:  HippoEDIT.exe

- COMMAND:  %AppDir%\HippoEDIT.exe
