[Solved] Not sure why says elegant was not found
« on: March 17, 2009, 03:16:17 pm »
I have just started HE. A bunch of files are loaded, being ...sql the last.
Went to File - Open Selected - File Name and got a message

Quote
elegant was not found
Do you want to create it?

I am not sure where did it find "elegant" from.

PS: I have my file/project explorer docked (auto-hide) on the left, but no file is selected there.

Oh, yeah, and if I agree on creating one it opens a new file w/o extension named elegant and it is on my D: drive ... hmm

Hi Arthur,

the elegant comes from Clipboard contents, I assume.
If you do not have a file name selected, or it is not found under cursor (or not recognized), HE checks also Clipboard for file name to open.
This is by design. It is to avoid long step to go to File -> Open dilaog for opening file name copied in another application.

Best regards,
Alex.

Hmm, but as en enhancement it should tell that in the menu e.g. Open Selected/From Cliboard Ctrl-Shift-O.
I can see it can open a URL this way, cool, that can be a nice trick to use - two thumbs up!

Hello Arthur,

such behaviour already described in the command prompt (check status bar).
So I do not think that it is necessary to chnage menu entry also.

Best regards,
Alex

Did not notice that. My fault, sorry!

All is good then, thank you.
