[Solved]Crash for changing encoding settings
« on: July 27, 2009, 11:20:41 am »
New bug (Again?):
For some reason, when I opened a file that is "garbled", (As in Microsoft Word & here) I clicked on Save As -> Chinese Simpilifed GB2312 (Note: This file is not garbled on notepad when one double clicked it and yes, I would like to localize that file with Chinese). Now it gives a prompt that some unicode characters cannot be saved .... (As the picture shows it has already garbled here). So I choose save with other encoding. Crashed!

PS: Cannot upload image. Relavant images will be sent to Alex.

The bug was fixed.

Hello Samuel,

I have doubts that this issue was fixed... I have done some fixes in 697 for encoding conversion but do not think the issue you have reported was touched. But who knows..

In any case, can you please try to send me (supportbox at hippoedit com)  file you were working on, I would try to reproduce the issue?

Best regards,
Alex.
