A link does not open the browser in a text file
« on: March 04, 2009, 02:59:19 am »
A link does not open the browser in a text file. :o

Steps to reproduce:

1) Open a new text file and paste into it some text containing URL(s) (web links);
2) Hover over any URL (example http://localhost/reportServer), a prompt comes up suggesting to click onto Ctl+Click to Follow Link, do that
3) The browser would not open and a part of the URL will be highlighted.

Reproduced. The link is not recognized as a link :)
For http://www.hippoedit.com it works ;)

I agree, this is bug. If highlihted and show tooltip - should be navigatable :))

Thanks!

Best regards,
Alex

I am wondering if this feature is configurable? I mean treating a link as a URL link?
Because at times (in certain files and/or under special circumstances) I do not want a link to manifest itself as such, is that a fair request  :-\?

urls styles are defined in def_spec.xml.
You can exclude inheritance of the url style in some schemas or adjust by adding or removing containers (allowed parent styles) from it.
