HippoEDIT 144,145 X64 no Right click explorer function.
« on: July 27, 2009, 02:23:39 am »
For certain reason in Windows 7 X64, as the image show below what a user will do to link it to explorer, after pressing on "Update button", the desktop do refresh but nothing comes out. Quits Hippoedit, restart it, and see the check as shown is unchecked. I think there is some kind of failure to register but I do test even with UAC.

PS: The only exception is using the third check (The second check is automatically unchecked).

I did tried using the first 2 shell integration options during install but effects still same.

I did remember the last time I used this application on Windows 7 X86 have no such problem.

PS: The 145 X64 suffers the same issue with No exceptions and I have difficulty uploading the file. (Uploader folder is full)

Have tried both flags on XP64 with 1.45 x64 and it works.
Both flags can be set/unset/stored. Also Open with HippoEDIT is added removed from Windows Explorer context menu. I have admin rights.

Would check also on Win 7 / 32 bit. Maybe this is only Win 7 issue or Win 7 64 bit.
With Win 7 64 bit I could not test now, but would try to install and test this week.

Best regards,
Alex.
