Are you reading command description shown in status bar ? ;)

I have checked copying - it works correctly.

I did not intend to complain, and you are right, I am not reading the status bar, the question was what logic drives this functionality, sorry if I am sounding not comprehensible.

This was one special request form guy moving form MultiEdit. There such functionality exist: some how another way of copy paste without using clipboard.

Still unclear how it determines what text it decides to select. Sorry.

Then it is not working correctly, in my case it took a few first rows from a second file (me being on the last out of 5 in total).

Are you talking about what is show in the menu, or about what is pasted?
I have rechecked once more: what was selected - was pasted.

Please provide here example:

First document: text + what is selected
Second document: text + what is selected

And what is a result of paste in first document.

I now can see what is the logic:
I can select text in as many files open in HE as I want and be in any file.
Then when I use this functionality I am presented with choice of several text selections [taken from each these files] to paste, which is cool, but that was not immediately obvious.

When the guy I told, ask about this, it took me also some time to get what he wants :))

Best regards,
Alex.

This is a favorite feature of mine -- especially when working with locked selections or many open documents.
