Hide & Show Status Bar
« on: August 15, 2009, 12:45:59 pm »
On the bottom most, there are a lot of stuffs which is named as Message Pane.

There are details to be show or hide as Current Encoding, Time, Read Only, Current Syntax etc.

I know that I could hide all as whole using right click on Message Pane -> Hide. But how to show it back other than using View -> Status Bar?

Hi Samuel,

Message pane is name of left most stretchable pane, where status messages and command prompts are shown. It is grazed out because you could not turn it off.
The general name for control on bottom of the screen with a lot of information panes is Status Bar.

So you can Hide Status bar as with context menu click on itself as from main menu Status Bar -> Hide/Show.
And why it is not sufficient to have only main menu switch for it?
Of course I can introduce command for this (this is not complex) but I need to know the reason for this.

Best regards,
Alex.

Nope -- This is not feature request. Just a clarification post.
