"Operate on all bookmarks"
« on: April 13, 2009, 08:24:09 pm »
How about implementing functionality that would allow sort of "Operate on all bookmarks"?

An example to that would be me willing to say delete all the bookmarked lines, or copy them, etc.

Support ++, especially to delete and copy as said by Arthur.
But why not to search/replace in bookmarked lines.
Also I don't want that be too complicated and too heavy for HE.

Hello,

Ok, I would add these functions when I would have some time in next betas... :)
If I got such pressure :) (the effort is not too big, otherwise I would not agree ;) )

Best regards,
Alex

New. Added new functionality to operate on bookmarked lines

(Edit.BookmarkLineCopy,

What does the "invert" do?

I guess that all non bookmarked lines are now bookmarked, and bookmarded lines are now not bookmarked. Clear ?  :)
So for example  we can easily bookmark lines containing some string, then by invert, bookmark lines not containing the string.

Thanks JJK,

yes. This operation can be used, for example in scenario, when you need to find lines not matching some condition. First find all, matching, then invert.

Also, I think I forgot to mention this in beta news, Search Dialog now has new search Scope:Bookmarked Lines, active when you have some bookmarks in current document. So search can be done only in bookmarked lines.

PS: As a side note - could the Find Dialog become resizable?
Why? Because if I place a long enough text to search that goes beyond the width of the search text box and I want to check it before searching, I would need to take out off the box somewhere to look at.

Hi Arthur,

maybe somewhen.
I have this in plans. It is just complex, because of handling of correct layout for all controls inside. That is why it was not done from beginning. Also find fielad are already big enough for most cases.

Thanks for suggestion.

Best regards,
Alex.
