Delete and Rename file in context of tabs
« on: November 16, 2010, 12:51:38 am »
It would sure be nice to be able to rename or delete a file by right-clicking on the file tab.  Right now I must "synchronize with active file", then select the file in the pane below, then right-click, and wait for the windows context menu to pop up, then I can delete.  For some reason, the rename option is missing in my context menu.

Another way I could do this is to right-click on the tab, and "Open Containing Folder" then work with the files in my default file manager, but wouldn't it make sense to be able to delete or rename the file directly from the context of the file tab?

Hi Heminate,

thanks a lot for suggestion. Yes, it is valid, and not very complex to implement but do not know how much this feature requested by others and how often it is used by you. At the end HE is not a file manager and if I will put all file related functions (move/copy/delete/rename etc) in, it can be missusage of tool. Rename maybe suits more than the rest, but any way.

So, I will put this in to my list, but priority will depend if other people will request this.

Best regards,
Alex.
