Spell Checker dictionary for British or Australian English
« on: February 05, 2015, 07:47:47 am »
I tried to add 'please provide a British or Australian dictionary' to the list above but keep getting an error message saying that the files are missing.  There is a U.S. dictionary with the program (or programme in British spelling) but the spelling is often different to British english, and as I'm trying to produce an ebook, spelling is important.
Thanks for that!

Hi Wendy,

I will add additional English dictionaries next days. You will be able to install them directly from HippoEDIT in menu Help->Check for Updates.
In best case, you will not need to do something, while dictionaries will be suggested to you on start by HippoEDIT (depends on your keyboard layout).

BR, Alex.

Hello Wendy,

please check in Update Manager (menu Help->Check for Updates) for new spell checker dictionaries.
To avoid checking by both US and AU dictionaries, uninstall in Update Manager English (United States) after installing English (Australian).

BR, Alex.

Good on you, Alex.  I found the Australian Dictionary - thanks.  Very much appreciated.  Sorry I didn't reply sooner.  I didn't realise you'd replied.
