Suggestion: simple macro recorder

I remember seeing some discussion here about the macro recorder, but I think it got nowhere since then. There was a really cool feature in Borland IDEs: brain-dead simple macro recorder. You press Ctrl-Shift-R, then do whatever you need to do in the editor (press keys, edit text, use menus, etc -- only keyboard and menu commands get recorded), then press Ctrl-Shift-R again -- you got the macro which you can replay any time with Ctrl-Shift-P combo. This macro stays alive until the program gets closed or it's being replaced with a new macro with another Ctrl-Shift-R. Note: there's no macro management required; no macro language involved; no mouse is being recorded -- everything's extremely simple.

That'd be cool to have this feature.

That would be added in 1.50 but based on scripting I am currently working on.
For user visually would be no difference, just if you would like to save your macro, it can be saved as a script.
