Vertical toolbar
« on: April 21, 2010, 10:26:01 pm »
Hello

I saw the post of Theno about RJ TextEdit. I test it.
and I like the idea behind the vertical tool between files and text window

It's a good place for editing choice as Indent, Duplicate, Insert, Cclipboard and so on...
(all the Edit menu) but it's more easy to use it just in front of the written text...

What about that ?
Alain

Hi Alain,

yes, I agree on that. There are a lot of other tools that also use it as: Dreamweaver, Programmers Notepad, Borland products (I think), HomeSite.
I have it in my todo already.
But till it will be implemented you can place editor tool bar vertically, like Theno did (see screenshots)

Best regards,
Alex.

Hi Alain,

Actually I wasn't aware that HE is capable to do this, before making that suggestion. Later I realized that it can be done already but it is a bit problematic for now. If you put a toolbar vertically between file explorer window and editor, it disappears in a mysterious way. :) It directly goes to the far left of the main window and stays under the file explorer window. If you make file explorer auto hide, you will see that toolbar. In that position without opening file explorer drag the toolbar near editor window again and hope it to stay there :) Then you can make file explorer docked again and now you managed to have an vertical toolbar ;)

I think it will be solved soon since Alex took this to todo list.

Thanks...
