File Explorer Does not Remember Last Directory Used
« on: April 20, 2009, 07:25:29 pm »
File Explorer does not remember last directory used between HE sessions and would start off the root [Desktop] each time, on the contrary the file filter looks like does remembers the last selection
Is that possible to make it (perhaps as a setting) remember?

Hi Arthur,

this is is not done by design. Opening File Explorer to correct directory is rather slow (it uses stanard shell mechanism), so the directory is not restored to speed up initial loading of HippoEDIT.

Do not know if such option needed. Normally you can sync to current file, and this is enough.
Let collect here what other user think, and if somebody else requre this option, I would place request into todo queue.

Best regards,
Alex.

i was slightly annoyed by this when first using HE. then realized the favorites option was even better, faster anyway. hats off to the developer, i really like the way this editor works.

Would be fixed next beta.
Flag Remember Last directory added to File Explorer options.
By default - Off.
