File locked when opened in real browser
« on: November 09, 2010, 02:54:42 pm »
Hi,

I'm discoverins this great editor,w ich could be my fav,
 if
I just could be able to edit an html file while seeing it in my browser (editing a file should not be mess up if the file is read by another program!) >:( >:(

The way I work:
I change something in file, reload the html in FF, change again something in editor, reload in FF and so on.
Here, edited files is locked by the ff process as soon as opened in it (??!)

First time I see this.
No such issue whith NP++ or PSPAD or whatever else basically...
W7/64

What' wrong with it?

thank you

Why don't you edit and preview the file directly in HippoEdit? use F12 to preview.

Hi Elz64,

if the file is locked by FF what hippoedit has to do with it?
If you want to say that HippoEDIT locks the file, than it can be Tools->Options->Editor->"Keep files locked while editing them" setting. Check it.

Best regards,
Alex.
