I'm a recent Twistpad convert to HippoEdit. There was one of the features I particularily liked - paste a piece of text as a new file. It was working like that: you have program running with or without an open file; you press Ctrl-V if no file is open, or Ctrl-Shift-V if there's a file and a piece of text is getting inserted as a new tab/file. Could be great to have this feature in HE.

Thanks.

Hi wasker,

check Edit->Paste New... Default shortcut is Alt+Ctrl+V, but you can change it in keyboard settings.
Ctrl+Shift+V is blocked by default as Clipboard Ring action.

About creating off new file, from clipboard content when no file open is a good idea. Would be added in new 1.47 beta.

Best regards,
Alex.
