Hi alex,

"Paste as HTML" is an very nice feature,..
... but is there any change that we could get an option

to get rid of the header?Version:0.9
StartHTML:00000149
EndHTML:00000998
StartFragment:00000183
EndFragment:00000962
SourceURL: www.xy.de

I think about something like "[X] Paste as HTML: without Metadata" or they like.

---
Or perhaps just comment the header out by <!--header -->,
Quote<!--Version:0.9
StartHTML:00000149
EndHTML:00000998
StartFragment:00000183
EndFragment:00000962
SourceURL: www.xy.de  -->
The URL is  the only thing i found useful from this header, to keep them in my code.

Hello Stefan,

I have considered this is as bug and would try to clean up pasted text. I agree that header information is not really interested for end-user ;)

I would publish fixed version next days. Check beta version history.

I would also would move this message to bug section.

Best regards,
Alex.

Thanks Alex,

can we talk about keeping "SourceURL: www.xy.de" ?

maybe as commented "<!-- SourceURL: www.xy.de -->" ?

This i find useful.

Fixed with 1.40.546.

Now there are three modes for paste (see description in prompt in status bar).
Normal - paste only selected fragment in HTML format (how it was designed)
Keeping Ctrl - paste complete HTML (together with necessary styles, scripts etc)
Keeping Ctrl+Shift - paste raw HTML format (full HTML + header, where you can see SourceURL for example)

It was not possible to extract SourceURL because it is optional descriptor and used only by IE. If you paste HTML from Word for example, you would not get it. But you still can get it, if you want, pasting raw HTML format.

Really Fantastic!

This Keeping Ctrl "Paste and add HTML skeleton" is great!

May i suggest for an future version to set this complete 'header' in comment signs like <!-- 'header' -->
so user don't have to take care and just leave the header with the code?
But very minor wish only.
