Scripting, Scripts and Macros / howto macro
« on: December 31, 2014, 09:04:13 am »
Is there a howto for macros?

I want to 'saveto' the current doc to c:\temp\test.txt
Record macro captured mouse clicks the File.SaveCopy dialog but doesn't record keys?
Searching the forum for MouseMove and File.SaveCopy has no result.

Code: [Select]
<Command cmd="File.SaveCopy"/>

How do you add keystrokes here?

FAQ / Re: Color Scheme vs Syntax Settings

I think I figured it out.... the Syntax default pulls from whichever Color Scheme is selected.

I added a color to the Color Scheme, and it showed up in the Syntax Color/Font as an option :)

Whats the difference between Color Scheme and Syntax Settings -> Fonts and colors?

I wanted to make plain text files open with a specific Color Scheme, or maybe copy the settings from a Color Scheme, but it seems like the only color scheme in Syntax Settings is it's own default / default text.

So, I could edit Syntax Settings -> Default/Default Text -> Fonts and Colors, but why I would need to manually duplicate here what was already done in Color Scheme.

I'm guessing I would edit the plain text user file, change this?
Code: [Select]
<SYNTAX id="text" inherit="def_text" inherit_url="deftext_user.xml">

I must be doing it wrong....

Bug reports / Assigning F5
« on: October 25, 2014, 07:46:39 pm »
Fn key assigning does not seem to be working properly.

Workaround is using WIN-fn.

Could not assign Fn keys to commands.  Tried with F5 which is refresh by default.  I removed both key assignments using F5 but it didn't help.  ALT and CTRL F5 worked just fine.   Then I tried WIN-F5... it put F5 in the key field... and I was able to assign it.

Just after posting here I changed an unrelated setting, "currentline frame" in the color scheme settings, and now all my white spaces are the light blue color that only CRLF was before.

I finally got white spaces to be the color I like.  I prefer them very close to the color of the background.  When I tried to set the color darker, it kept making it lighter, I'm guessing as part of the contrast feature, which is very nice, otherwise.  After fiddling for a while, restarting HE, the space and tabs magically appear the way I like, but now the CR/LF marker changed to bright blue text blocks "CRLF" .... did I do that somehow?

I missed the link, it would seem....
Are XP and 2003 the only themes?
Need one to match a scheme...
Where they'd act like a team.
Is this just a dream?
Or cash must I redeem?
