How to report an bug

If you report an bug, please provide as many details as you can get.
You can use this "Error and bug report" below (just copy it to your post)
Try to fill out as much as you can in five minutes. (You don't have to, but it helps to find the issue)

Please read Alex post below too (preferable way is to use Report Bug... in Help menu of HippoEDIT.)

        Please be as specific as you can! 
        For example: did you click [OK] or [Apply]?  That may be an difference!
        I mean, explain most exactly what you have done AND how you did it.

  • What is here the error/bug for you:
  • What did you expect instead:
  • Did you have an suggestion for us to make it better?:
  • Can you reproduce it every time you try?:
  • Did you test with different files/file type/extension/syntax?
    Or is it related to an special file or syntax?:
  • Did you test this with an fresh installation of HippoEDIT?:
  • Did you test this on an different pc also?:
  • Can you attach an picture/screen shot/video?

  • And please, come back and see if there is an response from someone willing helping you.
    Give an statement if your problem is solved now (and how, if you find an solution yourself)

  • And at last, if all went fine,
    please modify  the subject of your opening post an type "[Solved] "  in front of it :D

Can you attach an picture/screen shot?
- hit Print-key  (use Alt+Print for the current window only)
- paste into Paint
   Go to Start, Programs, Accessories, Paint.
   If you do not see this, go to Start, Run, and type mspaint.exe and click OK.

- crop the size,
   To select part of the image to keep, choose just that section with your selection tool.
   Use the key combination Ctrl+X to cut that section or go to Edit, Cut.
   After your section disappears from the screen, go to Image and Clear Image or use the key combination Ctrl+Shift+N.
   Your Paint  area will go white.
   Go to Edit, Paste or use the key combination Ctrl+V to paste your selected image.
   You can then use the handles to delete the white space left around your image.

- add an line or circle if you want to point to the error

- save as PNG
   Go to File, Save As and use the drop down box under Save As Type to choose your type 'PNG' (or JPG, JPEG, GIF).

- while writing the post, click on "Addition Options..." below, browse for your PNG file, post your report.[/list][/list][/list][/list][/list][/list]

Hello Stefan,

thanks for help.

Just want to add that preferable way is to use Report Bug... in Help menu of Hippoedit.
It collects all technical information automatically and also provides template for filling.
But I have forgot to mention screenshot there. Maybe should do.
