Comments in html/xml
« on: May 10, 2010, 10:26:31 AM »
Personally, I'd find it nice when "autocommenting" in html and xml would insert spaces between comment tags and commented text (<!-- xyz --> instead of <!--xyz-->).
(Of course, it's a really minor request as everyone can define his own code templates for it.)

Yes, the best way to achieve this is to add your own code template.
Another hard way, is to change style definition for xml comments to have trailing/leading space. The HE will also add spacing on commenting. There is no way to control this. This is generic built-in function which generically use defined comment style tags for commenting. And there is no way (and it will not be added) to specialize it.

The one more possibility I see with 1.50 + scripting is overriding of standard commend by script command.
