HippoEdit keeps asking for registration data

I am running HippoEdit from a USB stick. The stick appears as drive J on both computers which I use (home and work). HippoEdit is not installed on either computer, only on the stick. Program folder is j:\hippoedit. Settings folder is j:\hippoedit\data. The file license.dat is in j:\hippoedit.

My problem is that HippoEdit keeps asking for registration data with messages indicating I am well past the end of the 30 day trial. Once I enter the data the program shows as registered. However, when I go to the other computer registration data is requested again. How should I proceed?

Hi,

Theoretically this should work, but maybe something goes wrong. Maybe license data is not saved correctly. I need to check.
But looks like a bug. If I would be able to reproduce this, will be fixed in next 1.49 beta

Thanks for your preliminary response. By the way, I am using version 1.49.799.

I have checked -- it is a bug.
But at least it should work for the system, on which you have done installation..?
Nevertheless will be fixed in next beta.
