VIrsion 1.49.822.     os:XP SP3

via 'Ctrl+H'
Find what: 'e'
Replace with: 'I'

What did YOU have done?
- CTRL+H ?
- only problem with upper case i ?
- Or other letters/cases too?
- only problem with "Replace With"?
- First letter of "Find what" can be upper case i ?
- As text in document you can type 'I' ?
- do you have any "shortcut" / "key mapping" tools running?

Sorry, I also do not understand the problem.. still.
I can:
- Replace words with I and F inside
- Replace words, letters by I or F
- Using Find dialog..

So, we need one more try :)

Please describe the scenario in more details:
- you are not able to input I or F in Replace With field ?
- replace function does not replace words with I and F ?
- replace function does not replace any word by I or F letter ?

quote from false007 pasted in wrong thread:

Quote- you are not able to input I or F in Replace With field ?
use CTRL+H to replace some words, and the "Replace With" can't input I which is the first letter.

only on win2003 ??

the second problem is : I can't use CTRL+F2 to bookmark line, but can use CTRL+SHIFT+F2.

thinks.

OK, I think the problem is in some external program that "eats" shortcuts.
Please check what is else running in parallel to HippoEDIT and try to close these programs and retry.

Another possibility, that you have "remapped" default keys, from current keyboard schema and they do not work as you want. You can try to switch to Default schema and retry, but probably the reason is external program: I have tried to applied "I" as a shortcut - works, but not in Find dialog, so probably this is not a HE who caught it.
