Multi-Syntax - PHP & HTML

Hi, I'm a new user and trying to find out why, when I have a php file with html in it open only the syntax for php portions is marked.
Any help will be truly appreciated!

Welcome to the forum.

I did not get you fully... HippoEDIT supports mixed languages and mixed PHP/HTML work as well.
To syntax schema used for that HTML (PHP). Shall be shown in the status bar, when you place your cursor at the beginning of the document

Please try with it and if it would not help, paste here an example which does not work + name of syntax used and I would check.
