1.40 - 546:

1.) if i open the Find or the Replace dialog, the "Find what:"-box didn't have the focus.

f.ex.:
- open Find dialog
- start tipping
- nothing happens because the focus is not set to the "Find what:"-field
- one have first to click in this field

-----------------------

2.) may i open an poll ....... to set as an default shortcut to open the Find-dialog ...... the "default" shortcut Ctrl+F ?

Instead to open the "QuickFind" dialog with Ctrl+F as it is right now.
And the "QuickFind" dialog could be accessed via, f.ex.  Ctrl+Q as an default ?

Just an Idea, what do others think? ;D

1) First time it is Ok, but then focus set some where else, but not in Find what : field :) This is bug, would be fixed next beta.

2) Yes, of course you can. Or you dont have a permission? Do you see a "Poll" button on top of the message? In previous versions Ctrl+F was a default shortcut to call search dialog, but since 1.40 when I have added Search Bar, I found that people normally dont need so much functionality to search something. Usually what they do is plain search, and that is all. And too make such often action easy I have decide to call Quck Search Bar by default with Ctrl+F. But of course you can overwrite change keyboard mapping and revert to old behavior.

I think the poll would be good, then it would be really visible what is more preferrable ;)
But dont when it would be possible to collect enought responces to get clear statistic results.

To Stefan
I was just thinking the same about Ctrl-F. Happily we can assign almost any compound of keys to almost any command. So I assigned Ctrl-Shift-F to EditFind and Alt-Shift-F to EditFindinFiles. Just an idea...
But your idea for Ctrl-Q is nice, so I support it.

Just a trick : Ctrl-H opens the almost same dialog as EditFind. So till now I used it.

To Alex
I was writing my answer but you were too prompt :)
As I said above, I support Ctrl-F for EditFind and Ctrl-Q for EditQuickFind
