Alt+Arrow left/right should column select  IMHO

Right now Alt+Arrow left/right is associated with command Next/prev tab.

Holding Alt-Key while making an selection switch to column selection mode... That's good.

I think and want suggest to make Alt+Arrow left/right switch to column selection mode too.
1.) press and hold the Alt-key
2.) press the arrow left (or right) -key ...and HE switch to column sel mode
3.) press the left/right arrow a few times
4.) now press arrow up/down to make your selection complete
I think this is an kind of standard.

What do you thing?

I think the standard is the same but keeping Shift in addition ;) Already  checked ;)
But if you like it without shift also, you can modify your keyboard schema.
Commands for column selection can be filtered by ExtColumn.

Thanks, i see now:

keyboard shortcut to start an column selection is Shift+Alt+Arrow left/right
and could be set to user favor with "Tools > Options... > Keyboard > Edit.ExtColumnCharLeft/Right"
