It is a question: whether I have the Auto-Hide Document Tabs feature enabled or not it seems like does not have any effect onto the document tabs.

How did it suppose to work?

"View  >  Auto-Hide Document Tabs"   could be called  "No Document Tabs if one file is open only"

If    "View  >  Auto-Hide Document Tabs"   is  enabled
and you have one document open only, you will see no Document Tabs

If    "View  >  Auto-Hide Document Tabs"   is  disabled
and you have one document open only, the Doc Tab is visible.

Note: You will find this thread in FAQ sub-forum soon.

Gotcha,
thank you, as usual, a very comprehensive answer.
I do suggest it be renamed.
To my taste it must be rather something like "No Tab For Single File".
Idea  :o! Well, how about expanding this functionality into not having the tabs displayed regardless of how many files are loaded in HE??
Perhaps, in this case, the path and/or file name of an active file can be shown in the HE window (tile, main window)?

Hello Arthur,

in addtion to menu entry name there is always prompt displayed in status bar, that gives you more detailed information about the command (menu entry). And in case of Auto-Hide Document Tabs it is
Auto-hide document tabs when only one document open. So I think, this is enough description for it, and we do not need to make a menu name longer. Also tabs shown not only for files, but for Web Preview or tabbed control bars...

This is already possible, check Options->Editor->Full Path in window title
