I have an idea: why don`t we create a HippoEdit on Twitter or Identica (or similar) account?

HippoEdit will get some social life at the end ;)?

PS: I have noticed major players like Volkswagen are already on Twitter.

PSS: That would broaden the user base.

Hi Arthur,

the idea is good :) But once more do not know, whould I have time enough to care about the developent, web site, forum, rss and then Twitter or Identica (by the way never heard about Identica).
What was your thoughts? To post news on Twitter, but as far as I remember they are limited to 160 chars? Or just - "new beta released" :) ?

Best regards,
Alex

140 chars (equal to the standard SMS) is the limit, you can post from your mobile phone or your desktop w/o the IE, and the user community would take care of all, you would need to publish beta alerts, bug fixes, etc.
To help with the process, there is a ton of desktop based applications as per
http://www.twitip.com/10-twitter-tools-that-help-you-work-smarter/

I also liked jaiku.com this is Google's service and it has more options (even running your own Jaiku, more here: http://geekswithblogs.net/Compudicted/archive/2009/04/23/lets-jaiku.aspx

Also you can incorporate the "badge" of Jaiku on your HE's website!

Thanks Arthur.

I would check this when would get a time.
But first, I need to update a web site.

Best regards,
Alex.

A HippoEdit account at Jaiku with separate channels on say beta version updates, features, script discussions, plug-ins, and just forum members off-topic conversations/socializing ( http://www.jaiku.com/channel ) must work.
