I have just taken the latest Beta (using the built-in update) and after starting HE got this error:
---------------------------
HippoEDIT
---------------------------
License File is Corrupted!
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
I wanted to re-install HE next and reached out to Add/Remove applet where I saw HE listed under ver. 1.41 :o

(I will report on that separately)

So when I just wanted to double-check if I am not loosing my mind I executed HE and it started w/o this error. So far it works.

Hi Arthur,

I already got one report similar to yours... and it was also resolved by reinstall. Do not know what can be the reason...
Would try to reproduce with new beta...

Best regards,
Alex.

The issue can be related to UAC. I have noticed same problem on Windows 7 64 bit.
Installer is executed using Administrator account but when you call HE later (not from withing installer), HE is executed with non Administrator account, and license file could not be open with write rights (it is HE folder)...
