I have just taken 1.45 release and made sure I now get Visual Basic (in Custom installation) schema
but after launching HE I cannot see it.
How to add/enable the support for .vb (MS Visual Basic .Net)?

alex

VB should be installed if you have chosen it during installation. It is in default package.
Please check once more for vb_spec.xml in syntax folder.
Also try reinstall, as far as I remember your installation process that can be tjat some files were skipped.

I did chose it, I am 100% sure.

vb_spec.xml is in there.

alex

Maybe it is disabled?
Check Syntax Settings if Visual Basic and all parent schemes are checked.

Visual Basic is not listed there ???

alex

Then I can assume that vb_spec.xml or corrupted or not in correct directory (not inside that shown Options->General page).
You can send me or supportbox complete content of your hippoedit directory and I can check.
Or just do unisntall without uninstalling user settings and install on top.

I see the XML looks good and the path is correct. I have sent you the entire contents via email.

alex

I got the content, and you are right. Something strange - I would check.

Arthur, the reason for missing Visual Basic syntax, is bad formed your Falcon syntax file.
It was copied from vb schema but you have not replaced syntax id and has wrong parent syntax and inherit_url.
Remove it or correct it and everything would work.
