I have used the project-feature the first time.
I want to store all open files as an session.
I use "Project > Save as..."  and think i am done, not knowing that i have to add the files in an additional step too.

So i want to suggest either:
A) new menu item " Project > Save all open files as... "   to save an new project AND add all open files in ONE step.
b) After using "Project > Save as.." prompt the user to save all open files. But i would find this annoying.
or,  or, or... lets think some more  :P

This is just an first thought... what think others about an session-feature?

Hi Stefan,

there are already Workspaces and Projects in HE. And I think there is no need is such session feature.
Generally one more click is not a big problem. And this is not a so frequently used feature.
At the end you can use or Macro or Script for this in 1.50.

P.S: Yes, I have decide to separate Macro and Scripts in HE.  There are some my internal thoughts about this, but mostly the reason is not to disturbing the users about selecting scripting language on save if they are not aware of scripting and also it was necessary to have some internal format to save temporary macros between sessions. But it will be possible to convert Macro to Script.

Best regards,
Alex.

O.K., fine.

The issue was not to have to do two steps, but that one have to know to do two steps.
O.K., i know it now and try to remember.

oooh, But i have found now the solution to my problem:

Explanation:
- IF i use "Project > Add" only
   and close HE
i was prompted to save the project. Fine. OK!

But
- IF i use "Project > Save as.." only
   and close HE
i am not prompted that there are no files added yet...
i think this is the point i missed to teach the newbie that there are two steps to do.

Just FYI to make it foolproof  ;D

But no push, just an idea while learning-by-doing.

Hi Stefan,

but you CAN have empty project. And this can be done by intention.
So I think this is not correct to disturb user with message that he have not added the files, because probably he does not want this.

I think if you only want to save OPEN files as "session", just save it as another workspace.

Alex.
