Just noticed.
Hippo was running from yesterday, today in the morning I mapped network drive to letter, then tried to open file from that drive in running instance of editor. Hippo couldn't find that file and editor didn't see new drive at all.
System ver win7.

Hi johnb, welcome to the community.

I don't know for sure but i think this is an very common issue with most apps.
For performance reason they don't scan always for new drives (or printers for that matter)
So just press F5 in file open dialog to let HippoEDIT (or the windows control in charge) do an rescan of available drives.
Windows at its own have other tricks to recognize such changes.

Hope this helps?

to Stefan: thanks for help, I want to suggest the same.

Hi John,

first, yes, just press F5 or Refresh button in pane toolbar. it will reload complete file tree.
HippoEDIT track only changes in current (selected) folder, but not others. File System root is also not checked for changes.
If this will be case, tree will flicker like hell :)

And I have rechecked situation you have reported on Win 7 x64. HE was started and I have added new drive in explorer. It was not automatically added to HE, then I press Refresh and new drive has appeared. All content was OK, I can click/open files and so on.
So, there is no bug there, or at least I have not noticed.

Best regards,
Alex.
