Code Browser/Function List Pane

Currently, we have the function list, which is excellent. However, a modern trend in many IDEs is to have a pane that lists the functions (labels) always in view. HippoEDIT could have both the current Visual Studio-style dropdown function navigation, as well as an optional function list pane (call it a code browser to differentiate?).

And here's what I'd love to see related to a code browser pane: The ability to associate external tools with different label/scope types on a per-filetype basis. Then, if I would right-click on that label in the pane, a context menu would present some normal options (format this item, copy, etc), as well as any tools I've defined as related to that type of label.

Hi Josh,

the idea is not bad (was already suggested here).
I will add function list pane (Code browser) after 1.50 as a plug-in, because for some users, using HE for fats code viewing this is not very interesting.

About associating of tools with labels - maybe. But right this looks for me a little bit complex in management (how to assign it, parameters, where tools should be defined etc)... At the end, what you want, is full blown specialized IDE ;). But HE wrong tool for this. Maybe the way of such specialization can be, syntax specific plug-ins. But let us see.

Best regard,
Alex.
