Hello again
Could we have the option of more themes? XP and 2003 look a little dated on newer OS', Windows 7 in particular
Thanks
Ben

Hi Ben,

I do not use some third-party GUI lib, so all themes come and maintained by me.
Adding of the new theme require significant effort from my side (generally I need to implement them from scratch), so I do not think this is feasible in the near future - I have a lot text editor (editing functionality) requests that for me have higher priority now.

But what is possible that I will switch some when to some third-party (or new MFC) GUI lib that has new UI themes. Then they will come for free.

Best regards,
Alex.

Hi,

I'd like to second Ben's request for more themes.

I appreciate that further development of the editor feature set is a high priority.

However, if I am going to be spending a lot of time in a program I insist that it looks nice
and two themes are not enough. Both as Ben points out do look a little tired.

Can I suggest at a minimum two more, please? A dark theme and and aqua theme; would be
really nice. Better yet make the changes that would allow these settings to be exposed to the
end user.

Just my $00.02 worth.

Thanks,
Stuart

Hi Stuart,

I will take into account your opinion, but developing of the new UI theme is huge work, which is not really related to text editor. So I will consider 3rd party libraries. But as I wrote this will also require significant time. So, I can not promise this for 1.5x (this is truth :) ).

But are you really sure that you need UI theme but not syntax highlighting theme (Tools->Color Schemes->Dark fex) ?

Best regards,
Alex.

Hi Alex,

Thanks for this.
Yes, I'm certain that it's the UI themes that I would like either exposed further _or_ more options on.

I've set up the syntax highlighting and editor pane just the way I like ( and can of course go "full screen" )
but I'd still like to be able to select either a dark or aqua theme for the UI as a whole.

I appreciate it's a lot of work, though and I won't hold my breath, but I'd still like it.

Thanks,
Stuart
