Lyrical digression (Help, Documentation, Support, Wiki)

As I can see documentation of HE seriously lags behind of progress of functionality (with the such prolific author  ).
Only wiki will save this project  .
For example: how many times have I click on html tag to select all it body? Two Triple clicks?
I didn't find it in help.
May be it is last cool feature in your environment, but it is kind of obstacle to choose HE as favorite editor.
The same thing is with syntax – there are no illustrated article of creating schema.
IMHO help and site is poor enough to begin learn deeper.

I wish to be properly understood: I don't want to waste your time with such gossip. It is your business, your project. And I undoubtedly respect your Decisions. I hope my posts will be partially helpful  .

Hi,

The answer generally obvious - I do not have enough resources/time to develop in all directions.
Help is important, but to write/extend it I also need time or money to hire somebody.
And as I see from HE users they prefer to get new features, that help them to be more productive as new help article. While mostly all features are transparent and can be learned by doing. If this is not true, I try to make them more understandable, without help.

From another side, I try to go with lean approach, and provide help/description only for topics that are unclear for users. This is done as with direct support on forum or by mail, or indirect with creating of the FAQ topics for frequent questions. And most users this satisfy.

I am always open for users that would like to HELP: create schemes, help extend documentation, promote HippoEDIT etc. There is a page that describes how you can help and get free license.

So, if you want to get free commercial license , and like to help, write me a mail, and we can try to extend help together, using already existing forum topics as base.

Hey, you can be talent politic: there are no any word about clicking a tag and many initiatives to the opponent.
   

I do not have enough resources/time

-  I didn't ask  just you in my posts, may be anyone else will answer my questions. (And I don't mean any tasks or challenge to anybody). May be, really, coding is better for you.
  As result of conversation I have a positive slogan "HE is the editor-puzzle: many surprises inside!"
  I thought that idea of wiki would be reconciliation: it filled by users (when they have time, voluntary), growing fast and formally moderated.   
  About help: really my question is my top about HE now and near future. At best it can be parts of a FAQ or ("seldom and annoying questions")  . It's to far to articles, unfortunately.

I am only one developer of HE, and supporter and docu writer. So, that why any help will be appreciated

Idea about the wiki is not bad, I already thought about it, but have not yet when trough of installing it. Wiki has more formatting possibilities as forum, and more suitable for articles (forum topics have also size limit, image count limit etc). And, yes, can be extended by other users.

Further, please do not mix questions in generic complains And for every independent question create new topic. This will help other users to find/browse for information later
