Ctl - Tab cycles only between 2 adjacent file windows (I have four open).

On the contrary Ctl-Shift-Tab cycles between all.

PS: Wanted to add - just keep quickly clicking on Ctl-Tab.

In addition, if I did "tile horizontally" my windows, then did Ctl-Tab they oops become all maximized, is this an "intended" functionality as well?

I can imaging this is as designed.
It's the same as with Alt+Tab. .....Always cycle between two objects.
Hold Ctrl (or Alt ) and press Tab, with every tab-press you switch to an another object

i don't think so,  ....  and  for me they don't maximize... i have 4 doc windows tile horizontally

But why the Ctl-Shift-Tab cycles between all of them?

Hi Arthur,

Ctrl+Tab works as designed. It navigates throught open windows in Z-order. If you press Ctrl+Tab it switches to previous window in Z order, which is previous active window. And now imagine, you switch from one window to another and previous window which was on top of z order moves behide new active. And vise versa. So you would always toggle. With Ctrl+Shift+Tab is it deifferent, because next in z order is one which is on bottom of all windows (was active first).

If you want to cycle through all windows, just keep Ctrl pressed and continue pressing Tab. Tab Switch window would help you ;)
Another way to navigate in document tab direction is Alt+Left / Alt+Right arrow.

Best regards,
Alex.
