version 09.08.04 (1.45.698) not working

I have no these DLLs nor the manifest files present in the HE directory.

I feel inclined to agree with the above. It does seem the un-install or the install on-top has wiped them out and failed to put the new ones in place. I am thinking it could be also the Anti Virus.
I will try installing again.

Ok, thanks. And I would check installer, that these files are always overwritten, if needed.
But as I wrote, another possibility can be that you have them some how installed in WinSxS (installer checks folder by name) but they are registered wrong...

Further to my post - no related DLLs are found at all.
I tried to install it into C:\Users\Arthur\HippoEdit directory and that ended with the same result .

hm... then the only reason can be why dlls are not installed is that you have already following folders in your Windows\WinSxS directory:

$WINDIR\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.VC80.MFC_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.4053_x-ww_3bf8fa05

If these folders already exist, HE would not install libraries locally, because assumes that they are already installed and registered.
If they exist, probably they were installed by some other app but not registered... Or windows update went wrong...
I have uploaded separated archive with necessary MFC files to server. So in worst case if you can not find a problem or reinstall mfc libraries in standard way, you can just unpack files from provide archive to HE directory. Then you would get private assembly installed.

Hmm, they are not there, the closest I found looks like x86_microsoft.vc80.mfcloc_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.42_none_0e9c2a8d74fd3ce6
How do I get the private assembly installed?
Anyways, the issue is solved by simply adding the missing DLLs to the local folder (where HE is) from the archive you provided Alex, thank you so much!
