Suggestion: select word under cursor

Visual Studio has this neat feature (Ctrl-W or Ctrl-Shift-W) which selects the word under cursor (no matter where cursor is - even if in the middle of the word, the whole word to the left and right from cursor will be selected).

try double click or Expand selection (Alt+Arrow Down) and Shrink Selection (Alt+Arrow Up)

Expand selection it is. Just one thing: if the cursor is at the start of the word, which is at the start of the line, it selects the whole line, not the word. I think it should select word, then line.

Yes. This is a bug. Would be fixed in new beta.
Just checked with latest beta and see that bug you mentioned is not exist any more.
Probably from version 733, where I have done fixes for selection of the paragraph.

just addition: thiks that will be better automatically expand selection to word in some command like uppercase, lowercase

Yes, this is reasonable and easy to implement.
Will be added in new 1.48 beta.
