1.5.0.784 is always dead when write tags which is not closed.

I use HE write HTML，I found it is always dead when write tags which is not closed.

See the image, if I write the next letter, HE will die.

Of course not

Please paste here sample text (not image) that I can reproduce it, with just not closed tag it works by me, so probably related to your text (I mean combination of open / close tags).

have tried even with retyping of the image -> was not able to get it.

cancel "White Space in Selection" will better, but still crash.

There have some no closed code, try it:

Then, write "<link ", not include ".

It always die !

I thought HE is best, and I hope HE will better day by day!

works perfectly - never crash...
So, some difference is settings or in timing... Probably.

Please:

Send me your settings (hippoedit.config, /data)
Tell which syntax is active by you
Send a crash report if it crashes or create a crash dump with Task Manager or Process Explorer, if it hands (better minidump with PE, while full dump is rather big)
in the example you gave shall I type link or <link, while you already have open < there
