Perhaps an idea for HippoEDIT too?

Open Syntax help in bottom window, near bookmark/Output/FindResult window

.

Yes, in such way you can work and see help in same time.
Make sence. Would take into account if would do chnages for docking windows, to support views too.

Thanks for suggestion!

Hi Arthur,

you already can have HTML help loaded inside document tab (depends on Help settings Stefan shown in screenshot), also you can have external help be loaded inside (in syntax Help items, you have such check box - Use External browser).

Or you mean something else?

I think I am not following something up.

I can have the Help window coming up as a document in HE rather than opened it in IE.

I do not get it displayed in the separate tab at the bottom (Find Results, Bookmarks, etc. window).

But I liked what the top post by Stefan displays.

Besides, is this a bug: I am editing say a VBScript, I have VBScript help setting set to a MSDN webpage and if I am on a keyword say "function" or "if" and click F1 I get the HE's help not the VBScript help. I expected HE to give me the help on Function statement instead, otherwise what is the purpose of the integrated help to other things than HE?

Hi Arthur,

Alex was referring to the screenshot in the post you linked too
==> http://forum.hippoedit.com/index.php/topic,191.msg707.html#msg707

You can open the help in an tab like  the documents are in tab.

The thing with (Find Results, Bookmarks, etc. window)  from the screenshot above,..... was an idea only and not implemented

HTH?.

About second question,

you can assign any shortcut for syntax help. The when you press it, syntax help item would be executed. have you assigned any shortcut fir navigating to MSDN?

The F1 shortcut is bound to HE help. And as I see bound hard :) Even if I remove association, HE help called by F1 :). This I can check.

Good, very clear now, yes Alex, you are correct, I had not initially assigned a new shortcut key for the VBScript Help, but I have now.
The permanent F1 assignment therefore makes sense.

I am completely satisfied.

Thank you both Alex and Stefan.
