Well, I think a picture worths a thousand words (below).

In short the name of the function in the current view does not match to the scroll bar hint.

It appears correct for the Navigation Bar though.

It peeks at the function name from the top so HE is kinda lagging behind in the tip of the vertical scroll bar.

- I think is irrelevant in this case.

the function name in Navigation Bar depends on cursor posittion not a scroll position (top line)

The Scroll Info shows function name based on TOP line of the screen.
So this should be function name of which is not visible on your screenshot.

I do not see any other unique "marker" based on which HE can search for current scope. Just taking your example - you have 3 functions on the screen which name to show???

Right, it shows the function that is hidden e. g. above the top and this is irrelevant, logically IMHO it needs to show the function in the middle of the screen I am looking at.

Ok, I woud think about it.
Maybe this is really more user friendly. Because in your example, name of the function is not visible, and this is a little bit confusing when Scroll Info shows it.

But what to do if you are on the bottom of the document, and there is nothing in the middle but only some function on top...
