What does the ColorComplete function do? I can try to deduce it by the name, but I'm not quite sure what situation to use it in to even test it.

You have found it ... :)

It was designed to complete hex color (#FFAACC) with some kind of combo with predefined colors and one custom. And then isnert it with a pattern. But was not yet implemented (I have designed it but later got some more important things to do).

I would remove this from the list until it would be implemented.

I was on the right tack then -- I assigned a shortcut to it and tried using it after a hash as well as after rgb( etc.
