How can I get search items counted

I have the options set as below. My intention is to only get the count of the items I have in the document as per the search box text, but I am actually going through each instead.
This is increasingly important to me when I am about to search AND replace.

How to get just the count?

Aha, works in this case, but only if I enable the "wrap search".
Well, why not to let it work in all cases?

Hi Arthur,

the editor is an tool which does what YOU want.

If you are in the middle of an document and want to count the remaining occurrences till the end ONLY... the editor does this.
If you want to count ALL occurrences... just start from top of document.... or enable "Wrap Search" so the editor do this for you.

So HippoEDIT does for all possibilities just the right thing... isn't it?  ;)

Scenario: one needs to get the count of the remaining search items till the bottom and you are in the middle of a file.
Try this: If you click on Find Next while having the Count only enabled and Wrap Search turned off you will not get the count - HE will move you to a next instance of the item you search thus, this

is not entirely accurate.
Now, Find All is also inexact in this scenario - it only works correctly if the Wrap Search option is turned ON. Otherwise, it reports only on those items found below the cursor.
To me it is nearly a bug.

HE didn't count at step-by step actions while you clicking on "Find next" .... only if you use "Find all" action.

"Find all" you have to interpret, it depends where in document you are and what options you have set.

"All you can eat" is also inexact because i can eat a lot in my life, but after 3 hours the show me the door.

I don't think so  :o
Count on "Find next" could be an nice feature (to find the 25 th occurrence at easy, for example)
but an lack of implementing is no bug IMHO.
That "Find all" works only sometimes "restricted"  is no bug but an feature IMHO.
