Quick find bar loses its 'X' to close when window is narrow

(I'm hoping this is a pretty easy one to fix. It sounds like a z-order issue.)

See attached screen shot. If the window is narrow, to the point that the quick find options are too wide to fit, then they will hide the 'X' that closes the quick find.

It teases a little, actually. The 'X' is there, but as soon as you move your mouse over there to click on it, it disappears and is replaced by the quick find bar options!

Not so easy... I have already tried several times :)
Problem is that not a Z-order, you need to decide which buttons should be hidden when there are not enough space...
I have decided to hide X if there is no space. You can still close bar or with Esc or with Menu.
I have tried on XP with lates 655 beta, in my case X hidden corerctly without artefact or something like this.
Which version you are using? If not latest - try it please. I just did some correction there.

Now I uderstood why FireFox has X on the right side of the bar :) But for me this was somehow strange, because it as destroying layout...
