Split lines hard wrap at a given amount of chars

Already on Alex's ToDo-List but here for the record.

Suggestion:
Just select an or a few lines and insert an page break crlf's
at an given width at user wish from an pop-up dialog.

There has to be an algorithm to split only after the end of an word (including possibly dot and coma and like this).

This is independent from syntax settings even if the settings where "Disable/no wrap"
Syntax settings should only be the default... but should be modifiable by user during editing.
(I want to have an document with word wrap off but be able to split some lines)

The same for "Join Lines":
if i have set hard break at 55 chars... i am currently not able to join some lines.
But it would be nice if this would be possible.

Moved from an old post in beta section:

- i think i want:

as it is now:
-- no ww (word wrap)
-- ww for whole file,

but i miss:
1)
-- ww selection only,   in an non-ww document
(a few lines are not wrapped at all -- and a few lines are wrapped at user wish)
-- this should be an command with an dialog like: "WW selection at [ 75] char" (see new picture below from july 2009)
-- this is independent from syntax settings, just brake at user wish
-- i think this will be an hard wrap always !

This is just an update with providing an screenshot (see picture below)
(BTW: "Split Lines" in that editor means HE's "By Windows Edge")

Hi Stefan,

Agree, this can be useful function, I have placed it in todo and would try to implement in 1.50 as script, and if would not be possible as script, will do it as built in command.

Best regards,
Alex.

P.S: I do not develop any new functions in 1.4x branch, to keep it stable. I have already split and started 1.50 but till now all changes there mostly related to performance optimizations, architectural changes and so on.
