Hi alex, since I noted that the ANSI version, no Unicode 98 to ME has problem handling unicode character, I would like to report a bug regarding to this.

The previous time I reported on Project Name in Chinese is Garbled on Unicode version. Similar thing do happened on current beta 98 - ME version.

As far as I know, the non English name is used under the same OS language, that is not to save under a Traditional Chinese name, path to file etc under a Simpilifed Chinese OS (It is known that any people who does this will get garbled, this is not an Apple system).

Due to Windows 98 - ME HE versions are non-Unicode, I would like to see at least the ANSI support of same language under the OS (Meaning a Russian Windows can save Russian and English Project name while Japanese Windows can save Japanese and English project name etc)

Sure, requesting for this support has no real portability (Unless the target computer is using same language) and the name can be problematic especially when changing the system locale (True even to Windows 7 as general usage) but it do make sense for 98 Users for legacy testing.

Hi Samuel,

yes, you are right. I would not care for support for real multi byte encodings, but for ANSII singe byte encodings (like English or Russian) 98/Me version should work.

I have tried to save project name in Russian and got problem you have described. And the reason was the same like for inserting of date time in local format. This would be fixed with new beta.

Thanks a lot for a bug report.

Best regards,
Alex.
