I've run into a strange problem with normal (not regex) search/replace on a plain text file.

The following string cannot be found in my text file by HippoEdit.  ???

.BP .NF

However, just searching for .BP or .NF on its own does work.  It's only when I search for the combination of the two that the search comes up empty.

There is nothing special about the file, it's just plain text.  The dots are periods, not some untranslatable character, there is exactly one space between the pairs (.BP<space>.NF) and I do not have the regular expression box checked.

Any ideas?

Kevin

Hello Kevin,

This bug is fixed, I think, with a new 1.45 release.
Problem was only for search string more then 5 symbol length.

Please try with 1,45 release (1.45.716).

Best regards,
Alex.
