Tools menu entries disappears

Hi Alex  ;)

i can't say how, but just for the record.

Problem:
Sometimes i see that items from the tool menu are gone (see picture)
Switching the tab/documents didn't helps.
After an HE relaunch the tool menu is O.K. again.

EDIT:
it happens after i execute ALT+F2 to launch AutoHotkey.chm

Title: AutoHotkey
URL: Help\AutoHotkey.chm
Arguments: %CurrentWord%
Shortcut: Alt + F2
[ ] Open in external browser

Just for info the Full URL: X:\a\HippoEDIT\Help\AutoHotkey.chm

Hi Stefan,

I have tried, but I could not reproduce this...
I can assume that you have Context Help Item for displaying in the internal browser, and when help is open, HE switches active window to browser control and hide all tools item (this is correct, tools are syntax dependent). But maybe after switch back tools are not appear once more. I have tried this scenario (with different help file) but in my case everything works...

So I need reproducible example. I have not understood, is in your case it is always reproducible?

Best regards,
Alex.

Yes that is true.
I have add this to my post above now:
[  ] Open in external browser

After i switch to  [X] Open in external browser
this phenomena is gone.

Right and O.K.

Right, it looks like that.

I try to provide more info, but i think i have said all as i had see,

I use this not that often. And most with one language only.
I saw it some times in history. But always while i am coding and so had no joy to dig deeper into bug hunting.

Thanks Alex, i will report later if i have more info to provide.

I just tested this with an fresh unpacked hippou145 713 (23.08.2009)_pdb.exe
and had the same issue.

Title: VBScript Help
URL: Help\SCRIPT56.chm
Arguments: %CurrentWord%
Shortcut: Alt + F2
[ ] Open in external browser

Pressing Alt+F2, Help opened, Help closed, Tools menu entries  from syntax are gone.

------------

Providing an FQ URL to CHM didn't help.

------------

But switching shortcut to Ctrl+F2 works  :D
Using Alt+H works too.
And Alt+F2 works now too  ::)

------------

O.K., switching back to working HE:

Title: AutoHotkey
URL: Help\AutoHotkey.chm
Arguments: %CurrentWord%
Shortcut: Alt + F2
[ ] Open in external browser

Alt+F2 works now too at first try  :o

I keep an eye on that!  >:(  :P

Of course thanks a lot for post, Stefan, but I have not understood, can you reproduce it or not :)

Hi Alex,

yes it was reproduce-able every time i open the help  internal with Alt+F2.

Even as i set up an fresh unpacked HE version and with other CHM. Pressing Alt+F2 let the tools menu gone.

First the use of an other hotkey let the malfunction gone.
Then i setup the Alt+F2 key again and this works now too.
Then i started my last HE instance where the Alt+F2 key is still set and there it works now too.
