Thank you Alex for the new beta!

One thing: the commands hint list kinda goes beyond the screen boundaries thus some commands near/along the top and lower border are not seen.

alex

Hi Arthur,

- can you next time select appropriate board for bug reports? ;)
- can you provide a screen shot?
- is there enough space on the screen to show all commands?

there were not changes during last betas, so problems should be old.

Best regards,
Alex.

I am so bad ;)
I will include it, but it is just being cut off, thus boring to look at.
The monitor I have is a 20" DELL monitor, wide screen. How much more room does it needs?
And you are right, the problem is old.

Hi Arthur,

Screenshot ? ;)
Is HE was maximized or not. What I see that hint window is centered based on HE main window position, and that can happen that hint window goes out of screen boundaries. I can check this.

Best regards,
Alex.

:-[ sorry, did not have the time for the screenshot, HE was maximized.

On my laptop (Win XP) only the bottom portion is being cut off, but this is regardless of the HE window state.

Stefan

Just for the record, for me the view is fine.

I still could not get onto the Vista but on the XP it looks like in the attached (sorry, needed to crop up the image to reduce size so it would fit into the message).

So I get this window bottom overlapped by the taskbar. On the Vista it is both - its top and the bottom.

IMHO the fix to that is in adding code that would calculate the top and bottom position of the commands window based on the screen's boundaries when the form loads.

alex

Hi Arthur,

but on your example the screen height is just 800 px.
Am I right?

Best regards,
Alex.

Arthur

yes, I have the following resolution set: 1280 by 800

Even with the task bar hidden I cannot read what is at the bottom, therefore the window positioning is an issue IMHO.

alex

In your example, I think, not a window position is a problem, but window size (height). It does not fit into your screen, and only one solution what I see here is to make window wider, in this case, but such solution would only delay the problem, until number of command increase...
So Arthur, solution is ... Upgrade :)) to notebook with bigger screen resolution.

But Ok, I would check the workaround with increasing width and decreasing height in this case.

Arthur

You are right. The height is the one.

But this resolution is standard for many laptops, the other users just do not use this feature perhaps, otherwise you would hear more whines ;)
