Isn't there a way how to combine several tool definitions (using HE "regular expressions" in arguments) in a kind of script?

You can create a script passing arguments to it and than inside do what you want.
Currently you can use WSH for this (search for cscript on forum) from 1.50 it will be possible to use built in scripting host.
